Our lives are insane! Running from one task to another. Feeling lost and losing one's willpower is so easy to do with the amount of distractions that you have on a daily basis.
Increasing your own willpower will not happen over night, but will happen with proper attention and action. Completing the tips below on a daily basis will cause you to have a dramatic increase in your own motivation and willpower.
1. Meditate
Meditating 10-15 minutes a day can make a world of difference. Purposely taking a few minutes to breathe and become aware of what your physical body is telling you will give you a lot of clarity in many areas of your life.

2. Relax
Purposely plan 1 hour a day that you can take your mind off of the daily grind. Put on an episode of The Office (on Netflix) or your favorite TV show. Read a book. Take a nap. Whatever it is that helps you calm down your brain and chill.
3. Make small ATTAINABLE deadlines
Starting with small attainable deadlines will help you gain traction on accomplishing your goals. Soon they will add up to become larger accomplishments, because you laid the ground work and got into a routine of planning, executing, crossing deadlines off, and reflecting.
4. Don't fight your thoughts
Are you ever trying to fight a thought the more it comes to mind?
This thought process is called the ironic rebound.
Next time this happens, explore these thoughts instead of suppressing them. Just like feelings, because these thoughts are present doesn't necessarily mean they are true. When those self deprecating, negative, or craving thoughts pop into your head, review the following: "
And just because you're thinking it doesn't mean it's true. If a negative thought or craving comes into your mind, think to yourself, "Oh, there it goes again. Thoughts randomly come and go in our minds, and just thinking it doesn't make it true."
Don't forget that you are beautifully made and unique in the most wonderful ways.
Your thoughts and feelings may not be easy to control, but you do have control over your actions.
